SSMRC Increases Work Hours by 20% Over Prior Year
Training centers are available throughout our 11-state jurisdiction
As trends emerge and standards evolve, Southern States Millwrights keep pace with customized training to meet changing industry demands.
In 2016, we upped our game even more, and increased our work hours by 20% over 2015 by logging about 6.1 work hours throughout our 11-state jurisdiction.
We provide specific training needs—at the plant, jobsite or at the training center—and deliver it in a timely, cost effective way to keep productivity humming. We are trained to not only work according to specifications to get systems up and running quickly, but to also follow through with maintenance so that equipment works efficiently.
And one of the hottest training areas is in rigging and signaling. Did you know that our Rigger and Signaler Certification is an accredited program and follows the stringent standards set by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies? This is not the case for most other certification programs, and it’s a rigorous program that we take immense pride in.
“We want our employers to know that, as the labor shortage rages throughout the country, the Southern States Millwrights are holding ourselves accountable, and we are getting more training under our belts to meet the demands of the industry,” said Wayne Jennings, executive secretary-treasurer of the SSMRC.
