Tim Hurd honored by Millwright Local 1000

Tim Hurd is joined by his wife Diane after receiving his plaque from the members of Millwright Local 1000.

The members of Millwright Local 1000 recently honored Tim Hurd with a plaque to recognize his craftsmanship, attention to detail and years of dedicated service to the local’s membership and to the Millwrights Apprenticeship Training Program.

Hurd started with Local 1000 in 1980 after completing the apprenticeship program. Like all millwrights he traveled and worked numerous jobs throughout the country.

In 2008, after years of working as a successful journeyman millwright, he became an instructor, and he went on to later become the assistant training coordinator with the Millwrights Apprenticeship Training Program.

In his own words, he said his “career has come full circle.”

Over the past 12 years he has passed on his knowledge, skill, and craftsmanship to hundreds of his brother and sister members. On Dec. 21, Hurd was presented the plaque in recognition and appreciation for his outstanding and dedicated service to the membership of Local 1000 and the Millwrights Apprenticeship Training Program.
