Western Region Work Updates – September 2022

Texas

Local 1421 has had multiple projects kick off in the last few weeks including Owens Corning, Fed Ex, Dalek Refinery and more.  The Central Texas area has had light conveyor projects in multiple areas and several power generation projects with the Lower Colorado River Authority.  The petrochemical turn around season has begun in Local 2232 and several projects have kicked off with more major projects starting at the beginning of October.  Work opportunities are high across the state of Texas.

Louisiana

The petrochemical work in Louisiana is off to a great start this fall season.  Several turbine jobs and pulp and paper projects are also starting.  Louisiana is also picking up more full time maintenance positions across the state.

Arkansas

Arkansas started off the fall season with major pulp and paper projects, along with several power generation jobs putting members to work.

Oklahoma

In Oklahoma the power generation work has picked up significantly with multiple outages on gas and steam turbines and additional hydro work as well.  Another project has kicked off in the light conveyor industry, over in Broken Bow.
