The federal infrastructure proposal announced March 31 at a carpenters union training center would provide funding for roads, bridges, power-generation projects, schools, high-speed Internet, and more. The SSMRC is set to capitalize on wind-turbine projects the plan would fund. A new training center under construction in Arkansas will be the hub for the wind-turbine-maintenance initiative in the Southern District. By the end of this year, we anticipate having a significant number of millwrights working full time in the wind-turbine-maintenance industry.
