The Central South Carpenters and Millwrights Training Trust Fund is hiring a full-time instructor to deliver millwright craft training for apprentices and journey-level millwrights at the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, training center. The Central South Carpenters and Millwrights Training Trust Fund is a regional training program, and some travel will be required.
Basic requirements for the position are as follows:
- Minimum of five continuous years of experience in the craft
- Classified as journey-level millwright
- Reside within a reasonable commute of the Baton Rouge training center within the area served by the Central South Carpenters and Millwrights Training Trust Fund
- Extensive working knowledge of the craft
- Working knowledge in basic computer software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook…etc.)
- Good communication skills
- Professional attitude
- A valid driver’s license
- No felony record
Although not required, other factors that may be considered are:
- Served as a millwright apprentice in an approved registered apprentice program
- Previous experience in craft instruction
- “Train the Trainer” qualifications from the UBC International Training Center
- Employer references
- Individual craft training history
- Bi-lingual
