This fall with just seven outages, is the smallest season on record since opening the nuclear office in 2016. I attribute this to the many unit upgrades and modified maintenance schedules in conjunction with the upgrades.
However, with those same influences I am confident spring 2023 will be one of the largest seasons. One employer notified us they have secured six outages and two others unawarded, but things are looking positive and those should be secured as well.
Although frustrations ran high this fall, stay confident in your support of the SSMRC nuclear industry and make plans to have a busy spring season. I know it is tempting to head to other jurisdictions outside of the SSMRC jurisdiction. I can only ask you take consideration supporting your home jurisdiction. We will need “all-hands-on-deck” in spring 2023.
