Continue your mental-wellness journey

Just because Mental Health Awareness Month has ended doesn’t mean the conversation has to.

We encourage you to make a commitment to improving your mental well-being, and we want to support you throughout the process. The SSMRC has joined with Domain Wellness Partners to bring you education and resources during the past month. The framework for the information and resources we offered was a set of eight mental-wellness domains: physical & mental health; marriage; career; children & family; faith & spirituality; friendships & community; learning & personal growth; and adventure, artistic expression, & leisure. If you or your family members want to take advantage of additional materials from Domain Wellness Partners, talk to your local’s president about reimbursement options.

The SSMRC is dedicated to preventing suicide in our membership. Opening the conversation about mental wellness and removing the stigma of asking for help is the first step. You are not alone. We are here to help, and many resources are available. You can access mental-health professionals at low or no cost through your health-and-welfare plan (contact information for your plan’s administrator can be found on your local’s page), and links to other beneficial programs and sources of help are below.

We want to build mental wellness and happiness in all of our members. We all have one chance at life, and we want to help you build the resilience and balance needed to thrive despite the mental-health challenges our industry presents. Thriving is growing, moving toward goals, strengthening and enjoying relationships, and ENJOYING LIFE.
