Good day, industry partners.
Work in the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida has picked up significantly across all industries. I can assure you that our team is working diligently to ensure your jobs are manned with highly skilled millwrights. We ask for your help in setting these jobs up for success by coordinating with our team as soon as possible. We forecasted the uptick in labor needs and have stepped up recruiting efforts across our region. We ask for your assistance with recruiting, and most of our partners communicate with us about the talent they run across on jobsites.
All of our rate increases and contract-language changes were ratified by the membership at our delegate meeting in September.
Our parent organization, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, will be hosting a millwright conference at its International Training Center in Las Vegas in January. If you are interested in attending this conference, please reach out to me as soon as possible. We have a limited allocation of spots and ask that your company keep the number of attendee requests low to allow more contractors to attend.
I want to personally thank all the contractors in Florida who responded to Hurricane Ian and continue to address the needs of those affected by the storm.
